Wait. You're saying that the railroad's site got hacked by terrorists too??

everyone who feels like it becomes a picture cop. I had another arguement at
the train station with the ticket cretin. She's convinced that picture
taking is intent to do terrorism; meanwhile the railroads web site is
offering to buy anything interesting pertaining to the line.Bob Hickey

Got it now, thanks!
Yes I agree with that everybody is getting paranoid. After a nasty encounter
in a park with a parent that didn't want her daughter showing up in my
picture (dusk, they were about 100 yards from me and I was shooting wide
angle), now I always carry with me printed snippets of the law. The only
thing is that if the game is on private property and the land OWNER or
representative instruct you not to take pictures, then I guess you have to
respect it.

Re: nikon makes twilight out of day

A little more info on the "ref" statement I made -- the thread
was "Parents given red card over snapshots " and started on
the 17-oct-2006 in the rec.photo.digital group (I initially did
not notice which groups this "twilight out of day" was posted
to. If you didn't see the original on the soccer match in the
UK, that would certainly explain the confusion :-)

Re: nikon makes twilight out of day

Not sure of which part of my statement you are referring to
with "lost you there" -- the first part was in reference to
trying to get the players to be in a particular place for the
shot -- they are all over the place like squirrels with a bag
of peanuts (I shoot my kids soccer games all the time and
it takes a fast autofocus to keep up with them ;-) ).
If you are referring to the second part about the
"ref", see the thread on "parents red carded" where the ref
was refusing to let anyone take pictures at a soccer game
(like the parents).

I'm sorry, but I lost you here... what are you talking about?

...
I like the pix, but it is obviously staged .. when was the last
time you saw a clean soccer (football for those on the other
side of the pond) player !?!? Very nice effect though. Biggest
problem shooting those kind of shots is the players refuse to
hold still long enough to set the shot up (unless you have the
ref in the other posts where they claim it is against the law
to take pix at a game ... sigh ... paranoia is running the
country)
