Olympus Trip 35 - stuck aperture

Hi all,
does anybody know how to get into the diaphragm mechanism on an Olympus
Trip 35?
I picked one up recently and ran a film off but most are underexposed. I
then investigated the camera properly and can see that no matter what
the aperture ring is set to the actual aperture appears the same. This
is when selecting manual aperture, I've yet to see if the meter and
therefore automatic mode still works at all.
I have seen instructions for dismantling the body but not to get at the
aperture diaphragm or shutter. Do I have to get it all off the body or
can I get in through the front of the lens?
Cheers,
Rich
