I am trying to install some programs on my computer and it will not install
them,, I reformatted my computer a week ago and I got other programs to
install ,but It won't let me install my photoImpact 5 or photoshop 6 can
some one help [[pat]]

First thought would be anti-virus software running, next anti-malware
software, finally pop-up protection software. Make sure that ALL of these are
disabled prior to the install. In general terms both of these programs are
fairly easy to install, so it's rare that one has problems with them.
One note, if your PS v6 is 6.0.0, do get the 6.0.1 Patch for it.
Last thought - did you have these two programs installed on your system,
before you reformatted? Did they install correctly then?

of course I do not know what you've got installed on your PC
(I would have used Total Commander) so the easiest way
would be by opening 'My Computer (start/my computer)
and then via the new window, you open your
CD?DVD drive. Search for the .exe program (install or setup)
and double click on it. Follow the wizard.

I put the Photoshop cd in the cd rom and the and the adobe welcome sign come
up and I press next now the install Photoshop screen pops up and I press
install Photoshop 6.0 and I wait and wait but nothing happens it just sits
there the hour glass goes away and that all it dose
..o

Try giving more information, like what exactly the problem is. Saying it
won't install is like saying I have an ache or pain to the doctor and then
not giving any more information. We are not mind readers.
