Please help??

I am in the process of building a website...I know very little so this
will not be as easy as I hoped. My first problem of many is my logo.
I scanned it in off an envelope and tried to clean it up a little and
post it on the site...it looks awful! I did manage to make the
background transparent but the logo still looks terrible. Can anyone
help with this or tell me how to fix this? Any helpo would ge greatly
appreciated.

Re: Please help??

This is very normal. Most responses do not get a follow up response, and
not sending a "thanks" is actually (a rather silly) part of netiquette.
I think it often happens, too, that a new person will post a question, and
then not find the response. Or they may just solve it on their own.
Thanks for your comment.

Re: Please help??

...
Your best bet is probably to recreate the logo by tracing it over again at a
higher resolution. The best way to accomplish this is probably by using the
pen tool, which takes some figuring out but is well worth the effort. Or
you can create a new layer, set the transparency to 50, and paint using the
old logo as a guide.
If you want to try to clean it up in Photoshop, here's a tutorial
http://www.steeldolphin.com/tutorials_photoshop.php
Here's an old trick from Kai's Power Tips that might be helpful.
