Using Photoshop Pictures with Windows Movie Maker

Is there a way to put edges around a pic in photoshop without using any
other programs?

Your title refers to using PS images in Movier Maker, but your question
asks whether you can do 'edges' in PS, which is probably the most
powerful image manipulation program ever conceived.. I am confused.
What *sort* of edges? (one colour, fancy frames)? What has Movie Maker
got to do with it?
If all you want is a border around your image, here's one way..
-Select Image, Canvas Size, change the units to pixels.
-Increase the numbers in the width and height boxes appropriately, eg
if it is 1200 wide and 900 high, try changing the numbers to 1230 and
930.
-Use the dropdown to select the 'Canvas extension color'
Done.

Sarah,
Please define "edges." If you wish to create the effect of the image being,
say painted onto a substrate with a dry brush effect, look like a Polaroid
transfer, or some similar operation, the answer is yes. All you need to do is
create a Layer Mask for your image Layer (might need to change it from
Background [in italics] and create a new Layer below it. Use the Layer Mask to
create the effect on the edges of the image. Save_As PSD for later work, then
Flatten Image and Save_As, say a JPG for import into WMM. You should size the
image and modify the rez to match the motion segment that you are workin on.
If this is not what you mean, then sorry.
