Re: Info about the manual focus

You could focus a lens by cranking on a knurled wheel on your camera, like I
can adjust the aperture on my newer Nikkors with the knurled wheel on my
F5.....But Nikon doesn't do it this way. If the lens is auto focus, then the
camera body will do it automatically. And, as far as I know, all Nikkors can
be manually focused with a ring on the lens. The "G" type lenses can't have
their aperture adjusted manually. It must be adjusted with the knurled wheel
on the newer cameras.

My Olympus digital has no focus ring, but it has "manual" focus. It's sort
of a zone focus system and it's a pain to use, so I don't, much.

I don't know if there are AF film cameras with the
focus control on the body but there isn't any
reason why not.

3. Some DP&S cameras have manual focus available on the menu on the
LCD at the back -- check the users' manual -- 'RTFM'
