PING: Jim Kramer

I think you're the resident bug expert. So what kind of bee is this?

I don't mind hosting some webspace for it, but I will need Alex's OK to
do so.

One of you should post a link to that pic, I'm curious to see it as
well.

Re: PING: Jim Kramer

Touche.
That moth and a big bumblebee were both wearing those flowers out, so
I'll explain my confusion that way.

Re: PING: Jim Kramer

Here, NC, the Hummingbird moths come out early and have a fairly short
season, but the snowberry clearwings are out in droves though out most
of the summer.

Re: PING: Jim Kramer

You have peaked my curiosity, although wolf spiders are not known to
typically eat their mates.
The email is valid.

Re: PING: Jim Kramer

Sorrry to be off topic in this thread
Jim, may I send you a shot I took? It is of a female wolf spider of some type,
her back section is of a black spotted orange top, here in California's southern
coast. I know it's a female because in the image she is clutching "din-din", her
mate's back section.
Could you tell me about it?

Re: PING: Jim Kramer

At least we both knew it's not a bee :-)
