Help with mirror on Pentax MZ-5N.

I have recently purchased a Pentax MZ-5n with a weird problem.
The mirror is 'stuck' approximately three quarters into the firing
position. I have a Pentax ME with a sticky mirror and this is definately
not the same.
I can still get the mirror to fire when I put the camera on shutter
priority but it doesnt return to where it should stay (the normal
45 degree position) instead it comes back to rest at about 80 degrees.
I can still push it down to where it should be with my finger but it just
lifts back up.
Please share any information and ideas you may have.
