Abnormal program termination

Hello fellow photoshoppers. I have used pscs for a couple of years. A
couple of days ago I got a pop up window error warning when an image is
loading to the printer. The banner at the top of the window says
microsoft and the error message says something like, "runtime error,
abnormal program termination". I was just sitting here watching the
print load, and something terminated the program. Any ideas on how to
correct this problem. Thanks in advance. DNT... by the way, it doesn't
happen every time.

In article <09Rtg.121298$H71.28223@newssvr13.news.prodigy.com>, RE-
MOVEmike@Curvemeister.comRE-MOVE says...
In the Event Log, look first under the setting "Applications," then under "
System. You should see little yellow triangles with "!" or red circles with "
X" depending on what happened and what ver of Win you are on. There will
likely be a dialog box that pops up from the text besides those symbols. The
data contained might be meaningless, but there is usually hyperlink on that
page, that takes you to MS and might yield more useful info.

...
Here a couple of things to try:
0) If you haven't done this already, make sure your Microsoft updates are
all installed, and that your virus protection is up to date.
1) Locate the latest driver for your printer and install it.
2) Look at the event log and see if there are any warnings that appear
relevant, such as out of disk, hardware failure, or other messages.
3) Print the same image from another app and see if you get the same error.
If only Photoshop crashes, do the three fingered salute (ctrl-alt-delete)
during startup and delete your prefs.
