Do you really see different pixels at that resolution? I guess it depends on
the film...

I was thinking the same thing. Just curious to know how good ole Spike
is doing. Maybe he found a good use for that nail and is catching more
fish than he ever dreamed of. LOL

Ha! - Yes.....By the way....Have you seen, "Spike" recently? - If not, I
suggest that he dropped his nail and is doing fine............

Rueters might print it.

Re: IN THE GARDEN WITH THE FABULOUS EOS-1V !

You should put together a panorama of all your bird shots....With the
hummers in the foreground, and the big hawks and cranes in the
background....Send it to the Audubon society.....Maybe they will make a
mural out of it......

Re: IN THE GARDEN WITH THE FABULOUS EOS-1V !

That is quite a bit.....Shutterbug here charges me $6.50 for a roll of 36
slides.......

Re: IN THE GARDEN WITH THE FABULOUS EOS-1V !

A number of reasons, first it take a number of frames to stitch and
this is far easier to get from a digital camera then film, say you want
to use 40 frames as an example.
The geometry of a digital camera is better controlled then scanned film
so the stitching will be somewhat easier.
At the pixel level the digital image is have far less noise, this helps
with the control point finding routines that try to match small areas
of one image to the other.

50 cents per keeper, yes. But when you shoot a couple humdred frames
at a time, you can get into some real money.
Even the price of my lab's slide processing has gone up. It used to be
$8 for a 36-shot roll. Yesterday, I paid $10. Guess they have to make
up the difference for the growing lack of demand.

Re: IN THE GARDEN WITH THE FABULOUS EOS-1V !

I had a feeling it's an all around fantastic camera. It's a dream
camera of mine. I heard it has 100% viewfinder as well.
I agree that if it had an LCD to review your images it would be
perfect.
Thanks Bret.
